Our Advantage
HCM Shotcrete utilizes the shotcrete process (typically wet process) to simplify concrete placement for architectural placements. Shotcrete is advantageous for architectural applications for the following reasons:
Examples
- Typical wall setup – winter construction
- Tensioned “piano wire” used to layout face of wall
- Shotcrete is applied in two lifts – scratch coat and finish coat
- Pencil rod used to layout radial wall.
- Scrach coat – note highly compact, well consolidated shotcrete
- A six foot screed is used to cut face of wall to guide wires
- Power trowel – used before steel trowel finish
- Steel trowel finish
- Radial wall finish
- Cast in place wall – unknown areas of poor consolidation…
